People
People are the core of EverySheep. Each person record represents a member, visitor, or contact in your congregation.
Person Records
A person record stores key information about an individual:
- Name — First and last name
- Contact details — Email address, phone number
- Demographics — Date of birth, gender
- Status — Active, inactive, or archived
- Profile photo — An optional image for quick identification
- Last contacted — When someone last reached out to this person
Adding People
You can add people to your directory in several ways:
Manual Entry
Navigate to People > All People and click the add button. Fill in the person's details and save.
Import via Sync
If your church uses a church management system (ChMS) like Fluro or Subsplash, you can set up a sync integration to automatically import your existing contact database. See the Integrations guide for details.
Searching and Filtering
Use the search bar on the People page to quickly find anyone by name or email. The search uses a full-text index for fast results across your entire directory.
Editing and Deleting
Click on any person to view their profile. From there you can edit their details or remove them from your directory. Deleted records are soft-deleted, meaning they can be recovered if needed.
Synced Records
People imported through a sync integration are linked to their external record. These records show a sync badge and may have certain fields managed by the external system. See Integrations for more about how synced records work.
