Notes
Notes are how your pastoral care team records interactions with members of the congregation. They help you track who has been contacted, what was discussed, and when follow-up is needed.
Types of Notes
EverySheep supports two kinds of notes:
General Notes
General notes are simple text records attached to a person. Use these for any freeform information — prayer requests, personal details to remember, or general observations.
- Can include images as attachments
- Visible to all team members with access to the person's profile
Pastoral Notes
Pastoral notes specifically record care interactions. Each pastoral note tracks:
- Connection type — How the interaction happened: email, SMS, phone call, or in-person visit
- Content — What was discussed or observed
- Date — When the interaction took place
Pastoral notes automatically update the person's "last contacted" date, helping you see at a glance who may need outreach.

Viewing Notes
From a person's profile, you can see all notes in chronological order. Notes show who created them and when, so you can track your team's activity.
